Bharat bandh today: Nationwide farmers’ protest: Are schools, shops, banks closed? What’s open, what’s shut?

Several farmers’ unions, including the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), have called for Bharat Bandh or nationwide strike today, to press their demands before the Centre. The day-long protest will begin from 6 am to 4 pm.

The Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), part of SKM, had called for a Bharat Bandh, citing a host of unmet demands of farmers. The Noida-based Bharatiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) has also extended support to Friday’s Bharat Bandh.

BHARAT BANDH: WHAT’S OPEN, WHAT’S SHUT?

  • In support of Bharat Bandh call by farmers’ unions, Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) will keep its offices and educational institutions close today.
