Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Kuwait addressed the Indian community in Kuwait. PM Modi’s visit to Kuwait, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 43 years, came at the invitation of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and began upon his arrival on Saturday.
PM Modi while addressing the Indian diaspora said, “Witnessing a mini-India here.” He further stated that After 43 years, an Indian Prime Minister visited Kuwait. “I have come not only to visit but also to celebrate your achievements as well.”
Highlighting the deep historical ties between India and Kuwait, PM Modi noted that the two nations shared robust trade relations even in the 19th century.
