Madhya Pradesh: Body of woman found in rented house in Dewas

A woman’s body was found inside a fridge in a house located in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas area. The discovery came to light when a strong foul smell began emanating from a room in the front portion of the house. Balveer Singh, a tenant residing in the same house, alerted the landlord and the Bank Note Press police station about the odor.

Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot. When they opened the door to the room, they found a woman’s body stored inside a refrigerator. The police then informed the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, which arrived in the afternoon to conduct a detailed investigation.

Preliminary findings suggest that the house was previously rented by a man named Sanjay Patidar, who vacated the premises in June 2024. However, some of his belongings, including the refrigerator, were still left in two of the rooms. The current tenant, Balveer Singh, resides in the house with his family and noticed the foul smell before notifying the authorities.

Police suspect a possible connection between the body and the former tenant, Sanjay Patidar. The woman’s body appears to have been stored in the refrigerator after she was killed. The police, along with the FSL team, are thoroughly investigating all angles of the case.
