Video: BJP recruit Ashok Chavan thanks Mumbai Congress, laughs follow

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan mistakenly thanked the Mumbai Congress president during his opening address after joining BJP on Tuesday.

He said, “I thank Mumbai Congress president.” Responding to his statement, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis alerted him followed by laughs in the hall.

Chavan further said, “I am obliged to the party for what they have done for me but the fact is even I have done enough to strengthen the party. I have worked hard for the organisation to prosper and grow in the state.”
