Another student goes missing in Kota, second incident in 7 days

An 18-year-old coaching student has gone missing in Rajatan’s Kota, days after another disappeared from the entrance coaching hub.

The student, Yuvraj, from Sikar district, is preparing for the NEET medical entrance test at a private coaching centre.

On Saturday, the student left for the coaching centre from the hostel in the Transport Nagar area at around 7 am. He has been missing since then. Notably, Yuvraj left his mobile phone in the hostel.

This development comes seven days after another student, Rachit Sondhya, went missing from Kota.

The 16-year-old JEE aspirant, who also went missing after leaving his hostel, was last captured on CCTV entering a forest area here.

According to the police, Sondhya, a native of Madhya Pradesh, left his hostel room in the Jawahar Nagar police station area for a routine test. The CCTV footage shows him taking a cab. He reached Garadiya Mahadev temple, from where he was last seen entering the forest area, police said.

Police recovered Sondhya’s bag, mobile phone, room keys, and other belongings from near the temple late Monday evening. A search operation by police and SDRF teams is underway, but the teen is still untraceable.
