BJP MP Sambit Patra criticised the Congress party for questioning the credibility of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Patra accused Congress of undermining the Constitution by moving to the Supreme Court over alleged EVM tampering.
Patra pointed out Congress’s selective stance on EVMs, stating, “When Congress wins elections, like in Jharkhand, EVMs work fine. But when they lose, they conveniently raise doubts.”
In a sharp attack on the Gandhi family, Sambit Patra alleged that they were attempting to destabilise the country by utilising funds from an organisation associated with George Soros.
