The Bihar 2047 Vision Conclave, part of the “Let’s Inspire Bihar” initiative, concluded on Sunday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event drew over 2,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, start-ups, and community leaders from Bihar and its diaspora. The conclave ended with the release of the Vision 2047 Document, outlining strategies for Bihar’s development.
The “Let’s Inspire Bihar” campaign was launched on March 22, 2021, by senior IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav. Its goal is to create a developed Bihar by 2047, addressing challenges in education, employment, and healthcare. The campaign promotes education, equality, and entrepreneurship while drawing on Bihar’s cultural heritage.
“We are here not as representatives of caste, religion, or community but as symbols of a shared vision for Bihar’s development,” Vaibhav said during his address. He emphasised the need for unity, urging people to rise above divisions and focus on progress. “Bihar must wake up, shed inertia, and recognise its potential,” he said, adding that artificial intelligence could play a transformative role in the state’s development.
The campaign aims to foster entrepreneurship in Bihar, with a target of establishing five start-ups in each district by 2028. These start-ups are expected to generate over 100 jobs each, providing local employment opportunities.
Vaibhav also highlighted successful efforts in Bagaha and Rohtas, where local communities supported development initiatives, according to an official press release. He called for collective efforts, urging organisations to join the campaign. Among those partnering with the initiative are the Private Schools & Children Welfare Association, the Auto Rickshaw Union of Muzaffarpur, and the Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani organisation.
The event featured speeches by prominent figures, including Manoj Tiwari, North East Delhi MP, and Jamui MLA and international shooter Shreyasi Singh. “This conclave showcases Bihar’s potential to lead India’s growth story,” Tiwari said, encouraging widespread participation in the campaign.
Maulana Syed Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi praised the campaign, saying, “This platform unites all who love Bihar to work for its progress.” Renowned poet Shambhu Shikhar noted the campaign’s role in inspiring hope among Bihar’s youth.
The conclave also highlighted achievements such as the Jivaka Chapter, which has held over 250 health camps benefiting 35,000 people, and the Gargi Chapter, which focuses on skill development and education for women and students.
