Delhi is likely to witness very light rain/drizzle with shallow fog in the morning, according to the forecast by the Regional Meteorological Centre, New Delhi. Partly cloudy sky is expected in the national capital, it added.
The maximum and minimum temperatures were, today, recorded at 24 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively, the weather department said.
Meanwhile, visibility at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport was recorded at 50 meters at 7 am on Tuesday. Flight operations are likely to be affected.
Airport authorities advised passengers to contact the respective airlines for updates.
RAIN, SNOWFALL PREDICTION
Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm activity is likely over Central India on February 12 and 13 and East India during February 13-15, according to the latest bulletin by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
A fresh western disturbance is likely to cause isolated to scattered rainfall/snowfall over the western Himalayan region on February 17 and 18, the bulletin read.
Meanwhile, thunderstorm/lightning is expected in isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, it stated.
“Isolated/scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning activity very likely over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand during 12th-15th, Vidarbha on 12th and 13th; Bihar and West Bengal and Sikkim during 13th-15th February,” the bulletin stated.
“Light to moderate isolated rainfall is also likely over Odisha on 12th, 14th and 15th; southwest Uttar Pradesh on 13th and 14th and over southeast Uttar Pradesh during 12th-14th. Isolated hailstorms are also likely over East Madhya Pradesh and north Chhattisgarh on 12th; East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand on 13th,” it added.
A gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-4 degrees Celsius is very likely over Northwest India during the next 5 days, it added.
