DMK passes resolution criticising Amit Shah for remarks on Ambedkar

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) executive committee, led by party president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, convened on Sunday and passed 12 resolutions. Among them, the first resolution criticized Home Minister Amit Shah for his recent remarks on BR Ambedkar in Parliament, accusing the senior BJP leader of insulting Ambedkar.

“It is a shame that the nation’s Home Minister has spoken in such a derogatory manner inside the temple of democracy. The executive committee believes the drama staged by the BJP inside and outside Parliament to divert attention from the Home Minister’s speech is extremely comical,” the resolution read.
