EVERETT, WA – An Everett mom says her youngest daughter’s classmate created and traded pornographic images of her child using AI technology.
The mom is not using her name or showing her face, but she is sharing her story because she said this is a problem that can affect any family.
“I never dreamed that somebody could take her picture off of social media with her at the mall with her friends and then create something so gross with that,” said the mom.
The family just found out about the images this week, but said the AI manipulated pornographic picture of the 14-year-old girl, and other Eisenhower Middle School students, had been circulating for months.
“The boy apparently told his friends he was collecting them, and he called them Pokémon cards,” said the mom.
The mom said she is even more frustrated with how the administration at Eisenhower Middle School responded to the incident.
“He {the principal} asked to see their phones, and the kids showed him their phones. And he said he deleted text messages, and that really infuriated me because that’s criminal evidence that he was interfering with and deleting and the police need to be able to find that,” said the mom.
FOX 13 Seattle reached out to Everett Public Schools to comment on the incident. They provided us with this statement:
“The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. We take all reports of inappropriate or harmful behavior and actions very seriously, including the misuse of technology and social media, and work closely with the Everett Police Department as warranted. Everett Public Schools does not comment on active investigations.”
Everett Police tell FOX 13 Seattle they are investigating the incident.
