Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered a ‘shoot-on-sight’ in Banbhulpura, Haldwani, in response to riots sparked by the demolition of an illegal mosque (madrasa). All schools in Haldwani will be shut and people have been advised to stay home unless a medical emergency arises.
