‘Hit those who talk of alliance with BRS’: BJP’s Bandi Sanjay tells party workers

Former Telangana BJP chief and Member of Parliament Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday denied any possibility of an alliance with K Chandrashekar Rao’s party, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Bandi Sanjay Kumar asked the public workers to thrash those who discuss the possibility of a BJP-BRS alliance. The statements were made during his address at the Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra in Karim Nagar.

Dismissing the likelihood of an alliance with KCR’s party, Bandi Sanjay Kumar said, ‘Hit those who talk about BJP-BRS alliance with slippers.”

“No one will want to get into a sinking ship,” he added, suggesting that aligning with BRS would be a detrimental move.

The BJP MP further played the religious card during his speech. He urged the audience, particularly the “disciples, descendants, and devotees of Ram,” to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He then added, “Those who’re not Ram devotees, who want to see Babri Masjid instead, vote for Congress, BRS, or other parties.”

With weeks to go for the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP in Telangana are set to conduct ‘Vijaya Sankalp Yatras’ across the state from February 20 to March 2.

The BJP had won four constituencies in the state in the 2019 General Elections.
