India ties ‘solid’, Hasina’s remarks raise tensions: Yunus to Foreign Secretary

Chief Advisor of Bangladesh’s interim govrnment Muhammad Yunus said during his meeting with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri that the relationship between Bangladesh and India was “very solid” and “close”.

Yunus asked India to “clear the clouds” which have “cast a shadow” over the relationship between the two neighbours recently.

Misri’s Monday meetings marked the first high-level diplomatic engagement between the two countries since the Muhammad Yunus-led interim government took power on August 8.
