Popular Malayalam actor Honey Rose has filed a formal complaint against businessman Bobby Chemmanur, accusing him of making sexually inappropriate remarks. The complaint, lodged at the Ernakulam Central Police Station on January 7, claims that the businessman made repeated offensive comments towards the actor.
In a social media post confirming the allegations, Honey Rose vowed to take legal action against Chemmanur and his associates, stating, “There will be complaints against your associates also soon, who seem to share your mental state. You may believe in the power of your money, but I believe in the strength of the judicial system of India.”
The actor previously shared her experience on January 5, addressing a separate incident involving a persistent individual who had been making double-meaning remarks and following her to events. She stated that although she usually ignores such complaints, this particular case warranted a response due to the nature of the insults. Honey Rose explained that this person had been attending the functions she was invited to and publicly making disparaging remarks about her, especially targeting her femininity.
The social media post prompted many derogatory comments, which led Honey Rose to file a police complaint. The Ernakulam Central Police have already registered cases against 30 individuals involved in posting offensive comments under the actor’s social media posts. One individual, identified as Shaji from Kumbalam, was arrested on January 6 in connection with the case. Screenshots of the derogatory comments have been submitted as evidence.
