A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Sunday. The fire, which began in the factory, quickly spread to an adjacent company, Shri Chemical Company. While the firefighting operations have been going on, no casualties have been reported so far.
The incident took place near Tarapur, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in Palghar district.
According to local authorities, four fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze. Drone footage captured alarming scenes of thick smoke rising from the factory, billowing high into the sky, as flames engulfed the building.
Fire officials continue to assess the damage and investigate the cause of the fire.
Earlier last month, a fire erupted at a factory in the same area in Palghar district.
