Massive traffic jams witnessed at Delhi borders as farmers approach the national capital

Massive traffic jams were witnessed at the Delhi borders with Gurugram and Noida on Tuesday as police put up concrete barricades to check vehicles entering the national capital.

Nearly a 5-km traffic jam was seen on the Delhi-Meerut highway at Ghazipur border with vehicles queued up on the route.

Meanwhile, protesting farmers from Haryana and Punjab have begun their march towards Delhi on Tuesday. Over 200 farmers’ unions are en route to the national capital for the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march, aiming to urge the Centre to accede to their demands, including a guarantee on the minimum support price (MSP).
