A week after a 3-year-old girl went missing from a Texas playground, people in her San Antonio community are offering a $150,000 cash reward for information leading to her whereabouts.

According to KSAT, The Islamic Center of San Antonio and Crime Stoppers combined forces to offer a $150,000 reward for information that leads to finding Lina Khil. The Islamic Center of San Antonio previously raised $100,000 through multiple donations.

Lina was last seen at a playground inside an apartment complex on Dec. 20 between 5 and 6 p.m. She was with other kids when her mother left and came back a “relatively short time later” to find her daughter missing, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said during a press conference on Dec. 21.

“We have every available asset in the police department working on the case right now,” McManus said.

Lina’s family reported her missing at 7:15 p.m. CST and officers have been going “door to door” at every apartment in the complex to find any leads. They said they have also checked video surveillance and vehicles at the complex.

FBI agents have joined the search and were seen digging through dumpsters at the complex Monday morning, KENS 5 reported

According to the SAPD, Lina is 4 feet tall, 55 pounds and was last seen wearing a red dress, black jacket and black shoes. She has straight, shoulder length hair that was in a ponytail at the time of her disappearance.

The Washington Post reported that Lina and her family are Afghanistan refugees and arrived in the U.S. in 2019. The SAPD had to bring in an interpreter to help with the language barrier.

McManus encouraged anyone with information to contact SAPD’s Missing Person’s Unit at 210-207-7660.

In the U.S., nearly 440,000 children are reported missing every year, according to the FBI
