Mumbai-Guwahati IndiGo flight lands in Dhaka due to fog, poor visibility


A Guwahati-bound IndiGo flight was on Thursday diverted to Dhaka in Bangladesh, due to fog and poor visibility.

The IndiGo flight 6e5319 had taken off from Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in Delhi dropped to 3.6 degrees Celsius on Saturday, as the national capital recorded its coldest morning this winter season.

A blanket of dense fog affected train operations in the city.

The weather department has issued a red alert for Delhi, Punjab and Haryana for Saturday, due to the prevailing cold wave conditions.

An orange alert has also been issued for Sunday.

The weather department also said that dense fog and prevailing cold wave conditions are unlikely to abate in parts of northwest India during the next three to four days, till January 16.
