Days after the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu voiced his support for the BJP’s decision, asserting that there is nothing wrong in implementing the CAA.
“Any country having their own citizenship law, what is wrong in that,” he said.
He also slammed the ruling YSRCP government in Andhra Pardeh and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for alleged disparities in the evaluation of Group-1 answer sheets. Naidu accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of being involved in irregularities in the evaluation of Group-1 answer sheets.
Naidu called for a CBI investigation into the irregularities of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to uncover the truth.
Naidu strongly condemned the YSRCP government for allegedly resorting to deceptive methods in the name of digital and manual evaluation, claiming that these methods were used to appoint individuals favourable to them to high-profile Group-1 posts at exorbitant prices.
Demanding a CBI investigation into the APPSC irregularities, Naidu suggested that APPSC chairman Gowtham Sawang and secretary P Seetha Ramanjaneyulu be suspended.
Expressing serious concern over the lack of job opportunities in the state, the TDP leader emphasised the need for immediate action.
