Rahul Gandhi must do nyay to Congress leaders before taking out Nyay Yatra, says BJP leaders on Milind Deora’s resignation

BJP leader Amit Malavya, commenting on the resignation of Milind Deora from Congress, stated that Rahul Gandhi should first do Nyay (justice) to his party leaders before embarking on the [Bharat] Nyay Yatra.

BJP National Spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill also stated that Rahul Gandhi has to answer for the injustice done to party leaders.

“First, Assam’s general secretary (Apurba Bhattacharjee) resigned (from Congress), and now Milind Deora has too. The Congress ‘Todo’ Yatra has begun. Rahul Gandhi has to answer regarding the injustice he has done to the party and its leaders,” Shergill said.

Milind Deora, a key Congress figure in Maharashtra, announced his exit from the Congress on Sunday morning, just before the party’s ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra’ was set to begin from Manipur.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders accused the BJP of plotting to discredit the Congress’s yantra with ‘conspiracies’.

Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera said, “…Ask them (BJP). They get so nervous, whenever we kickstart a Yatra, they hatch some or the conspiracy.”

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh alleged that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi “has decided” the timing of the resignation announcement and “there is no doubt about it”.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) working president and MP Supriya Sule alleged that the BJP is “importing people” to strengthen their party.

“…It’s unfortunate that BJP has to constantly import people from a completely different ideology to strengthen their party…,” she told media.

Deora is likely to join Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, which is the ruling party in Maharashtra in alliance with the BJP.

Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit commented that he will be “surprised if someone like him, after leaving Congress would join an alliance party of the BJP”. “There are two big weaknesses in humans and those are greed and fear,” he added.
