Close to 200 special train services are in the pipeline as the Indian Railways gears up to run “Aastha Special” trains to Ayodhya after the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22.
India Today has accessed the originating routes of the Aastha Special train services from several states.
Sources in the Railway Ministry told India Today that there will only be operational stoppages on this train, which will run from various cities, tier 1, and tier 2 towns from various states to Ayodhya Dham station, and back for a duration of 100 days after the Ram Mandir opening ceremony.
The railway circular says booking on these trains will only be done via IRCTC. Onboard catering will include vegetarian food from IRCTC.
Charges like reservation, superfast charges, catering charges, service charge, and GST will apply.
