A 27-year-old security staffer was beaten to death allegedly by two bike-borne men who accused him of being intoxicated and abusing them. The incident took place in Ghaziabad’s Matrika Vihar, under the jurisdiction of Khoda police station.
The assault took place while the victim, identified as Sunil, was returning home in Noida from work on Friday.
During the alleged attack by the two men who thrashed him black and blue, the victim’s head collided with a pole, causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground. The accused men then fled the scene, the police said.
The unconscious guard was taken to the hospital by some people present at the scene, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The police, upon receiving a complaint from the victim’s family, registered a case, and a search for the accused bikers has been initiated.
