Stop insulting our people by calling them Bangladeshi: AAP’s Sanjay Singh

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) directed schools to identify children of illegal Bangladeshi migrants and ensure they are not issued birth certificates. This directive follows a recent order from the Delhi L-G Secretariat to crack down on illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh criticised the MCD’s order, calling it an attempt to humiliate and disrespect the Purvanchali community under the guise of targeting illegal migrants. He also accused BJP national president JP Nadda of equating Purvanchalis with “Rohingya infiltrators” and “Bangladeshis.” Rohingyas are a Muslim minority group from Myanmar. “They want to humiliate the poor from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Through this order, they want to threaten Purvanchalis, their kids, and bulldoze their shops and houses in jhuggis,” the Rajya Sabha MP stated.
