Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi along with his wife cleaned the premises of Sri Ranganathaswamy temple in Trichy district on Wednesday. Claiming that Ram is resonating across the country, the Governor said that it is the responsibility of the people to keep temples clean.
He later offered prayers at Sri Ranganathaswamy temple. Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to take up cleaning of temples ahead of the Ram temple inauguration in Ayodhya on January 22, the Governor claimed that he has taken up the cleanliness drive in the Sri Rangam temple.
Earlier, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha participated in the cleanliness drive of different temples in his constituency in Bordowali.
