The first phase of the construction of the Ram Mandir has been completed, and the mega temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya is all set for consecration. In the second phase, six grand entrance gates will be built in Ayodhya to welcome devotees.
Work has already begun on Phase 2 of the Ayodhya project, aiming to further facelift the city, officials said.
The six gates leading to the city of Lord Ram will be named after characters from the Ramayana.
- A grand gate complex named Shri Ram Dwar will be constructed on the Lucknow-Ayodhya road.
- The construction of the gate complex named Hanuman Dwar is proposed on the Gorakhpur to Ayodhya road.
- On the Gonda to Ayodhya road, the gate complex will be named Lakshman Dwar.
- The Bharat Dwar will be constructed on the Prayagraj to Ayodhya route.
- Another gate complex named Jatayu Dwar is proposed on the Ambedkar Nagar to Ayodhya road.
- And the gate complex Garun Dwar will be coming up on the Rae Bareli to Ayodhya road.
The ‘Pran Pratistha’ (consecration ceremony) of the Ram Mandir is scheduled to take place on January 22 in a grand manner, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest.
The seven-day rituals ahead of the ceremony will start in Ayodhya from Tuesday. Ram Lalla sculpted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj has been selected for installation.
Preparations have been in full swing, and more than 7,000 people, including politicians, industrialists, saints, and celebrities from across the country, are expected to attend the grand opening. Additionally, nearly 100 representatives from different countries will attend the consecration ceremony.
