Bihar floor test: Nitish Kumar wins trust vote with 129 votes


The Nitish Kumar-led NDA government won the trust vote in Bihar assembly securing 129 votes amid a walkout by the opposition members on Monday.

The Bihar assembly has a strength of 243 MLAs.

Three RJD MLAs Neelam Devi, Chetan Anand and Pralhad Yadav switched to the NDA’s side after the assembly proceedings began earlier in the day. They were seen sitting on the state government’s side. Addressing Neelam Devi during his speech, RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said that he “respects her decision”.
