A case has been registered against a man for allegedly having a ‘relationship’ with a 15-year-old minor girl in Karnataka’s Mandya district.
A POCSO case has been registered against Syed Tabriz, 22, after the girl went missing for a day. Believing she was kidnapped, the girl’s parents had filed a complaint at the Mandya police station.
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other pro-Hindu groups staged a protest near Mandya Police Station on Sunday, claiming that Islamic organisations are assisting individuals in converting Hindu girls in Karnataka.
Revealing details about the matter, Mandya SP Yathish N said, “The girl was missing for a day, and subsequently, a complaint was registered. We found out that she was traveling in and around the district on a train along with Tabriz.”
Upon learning about the details of the issue, the pro-Hindu group staged a protest outside the police station in Mandya, claiming this is a case of “love jihad.”
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad alleged that Islamic organizations are supporting individuals like this to convert Hindu girls. A member of VHP said, “Jihad is the main reason. Under the guise of love, they are taking Hindu girls and converting them. More than conversion, terrorists are committing sexual crimes against women, leading their lives being taken.”
