Delhi Chalo: Punjab-Haryana border sealed, Delhi on alert ahead of farmers’ protest

As the farmer unions plan to take out a ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march on February 13 to press the Centre to accept their various demands, security has been beefed up at the Delhi-Haryana border, and the Punjab-Haryana border in Ambala, Jind, and Fatehabad districts has been sealed to prevent the farmers. The Haryana government has also ordered the suspension of mobile internet services and bulk SMS in seven districts—Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad, and Sirsa. Traffic restrictions have also been placed in many locations. Meanwhile, the Centre has invited them for a meeting to discuss their demands on February 12.
