Milind Deora joins Eknath Shinde-led Sena faction hours after qutting Congress


Former Union Minister Milind Deora on Sunday joined the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, hours after quitting the Congress.

Deora was inducted into the Shiv Sena fold by Eknath Shinde, who presented him with a saffron flag.

Milind Deora on Sunday confirmed his resignation from the Congress’s primary membership, terming it a “conclusion of a significant chapter” in his political journey.

“Today marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in my political journey. I have tendered my resignation from the primary membership of Congress, ending my family’s 55-year relationship with the party. I am grateful to all leaders, colleagues & karyakartas for their unwavering support over the years,” Deora announced on X.
