‘Murli Deora always stood by Congress’: Party takes dig at Milind Deora’s exit

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh shared his long-standing bond with Murli Deora, taking a dig at Milind Deora’s exit from party. Milind, who quit the Congress party earlier on Sunday, will now join Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena.

Taking to X, Congress leader Ramesh said, “I recall my long years of association with Murli Deora with great fondness. He had close friends in all political parties, but was a stalwart Congressman who always stood by the Congress party — through thick and thin. Tathastu!”

This comes a day after Deora, on Saturday, dismissed the speculation that he was on his way out and would join the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde. He had termed these “rumours”.
