Ahead of Ram Mandir inauguration, Ayodhya SSP Raj Karan Nayyar said that over 10,000 police personnel will be deployed in the holy city for security during the pran pratishtha ceremony.
Throwing light on the arrangements, Nayyar said, “The biggest priority for us is that all the devotees that are coming to Ayodhya, we should be able to facilitate a smooth darshan for them. Apart from that, there’s a very important program that is coming up and for that apart from the VIPs that are coming for the programme, one major consideration is security of the whole area, security of the main premise, other vital installations, as well as the various VVIPs that are coming to attend the event.”
He further added, “There’ll be a deployment of more than 10,000 personnel for the whole effort and we’ve divided the whole area into more than 18 zones that will be supervised by IPS rank officers and then we have around 43 sub-zones which will have additional SP rank officers and more than a lot of the DSP rank officers would be there to supervise various sectors in which we’ll be giving them various deployment.”
