The much-awaited pran pratishtha rituals have commenced at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. This week-long set of rituals, which lead up to the main event, involves each and every home in Ayodhya participating in the initial ceremonies.
A special puja is scheduled to be performed at the temple’s garbha griha five days from now. The pean pratishtha signifies the infusion of divine into an idol and is a major event for the holy city.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, women of Ayodhya carried out kalash yatra. Alongside the spiritual activities, security measures have been heightened in anticipation of the event with strict restrictions implemented throughout the city.
