Congress’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi from Manipur to Mumbai, is underway. The Wayanad MP is travelling on the ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ bus to cover a distance of more than 6700 km across 15 states. Those who wish to board the bus should obtain a ‘special ticket’.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh posted a photo of himself holding the ticket, which has a picture of Rahul Gandhi in his yatra avatar.
“This is the ticket for the ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ bus in which you are travelling in Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra . Those who want to meet and talk to Rahul Gandhi in this journey of justice against the injustice of the last 10 years, have been given such tickets and called in the bus,” Jairam Ramesh tweeted.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Congress’s mass outreach program ahead of the Lok Sabha election, was launched on January 14. Unlike the first edition of the yatra, which was entirely on foot, this edition will be in hybrid mode.
Rahul Gandhi is travelling in a custom-made Volvo bus that has a hydraulic lift for the leader to address the crowds from atop the vehicle. The bus has ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ printed on it and Congress leaders are calling the vehicle ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ on wheels.
On planning the yantra in hybrid mode, Rahul Gandhi said, “We may not be walking as much as the previous Yatra but I’m working on a hybrid model to ensure our ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ reaches as many people as possible”.
